BCN Classes

Our Sunday gatherings are only one dynamic aspect of our spiritual journey. BCN believes that authentic relationships, created in and encouraged through smaller groups, are essential. As such, BCN Classes are just some of the ways we are growing together! We hope you’ll join one of our winter quarter classes!

Parents’ Survival Guide

Let’s face it, parenting isn’t always easy and your kids didn’t come with an instruction manual. During this 6-week class, we will take a look at things real families face (technology use, faith, the birds & the bees…just to name a few), remind you that you’re not alone, and equip you to more than survive in your incredible role as a parent.

Financial Peace University

What if you were debt-free, investing, and making wise spending decisions? With Dave Ramsey’s video-based Financial Peace University, you CAN take control of your money and start planning for your future. This 9-week, money-management class will lead participants through the basics of budgeting, dumping debt, planning for the future, and much more. Cost is $84 for the first 10 to register (financial assistance available).

Wait & See (Women’s Bible Study)

Every woman struggles with times of waiting—for a spouse, a child, a job. In Wait and See, Wendy Pope guides readers to focus on the Person of their faith rather than the object of their wait. Pope draws on the story of King David, who was anointed king nearly twenty years before he took his throne. Participate guide suggested but not required.

Novel Christianity

If you enjoy reading, we invite you to join us as we explore the rich, biblical themes present in classic literature. From Dickens to Austen, classic literature has the potential to unlock spiritual truths and inform the way we practice our faith. In this class, we will engage with short stories and passages of scripture each week as we seek to understand the deeper meaning that the authors sought to convey.

Beth Moore’s The Quest (Tuesday Women’s Bible Study)

The crooked punctuation mark at the end of a sentence speaks of curiosity, interest, and perhaps doubt. A question is an invitation to vulnerability, to intimacy. The Bible does not shy away from such an invite. Over and over we see the people of God asking questions of their Creator. We also see the God of the universe asking questions of His creation. The Quest is a challenge to accept the invitation. In this six-week excursion with Jesus, Beth Moore uses questions from Scripture to lead you into intimacy with the One who knows you best. Learn to dig into the Word, to respond to the questions of God, and to bring your questions before Him. Let the crooked punctuation mark be the map that points you into a closer relationship with the Father. This class is only offered on Tuesday mornings at 9:30am. Starts January 9th! Pre-purchase study guide here.

Forward

More important than having a mature faith is having a growing faith. No matter where you are on your faith journey, we want to help you move forward. In this 3-week class you will engage in a process of growth, connection, vision-casting and foundation-building. You will be inspired and equipped to continue moving forward in your faith, and you will discover the unique contribution you can make as we move Forward together. Starts March 14th!
