Title: “Get Off Your Mat”

We ask God to make us well, but the reality is we don’t even know what “well” looks like.

If your life has become a perpetual cycle of just getting through you are living far beneath the significance of what God has called you to.

Most of us want affirmation, rather than transformation.

Let Go

Come Clean

Pain is the antidote to our denial.

God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain. Pain is God’s megaphone to rouse a deaf world. – CS Lewis

When you experience pain you begin leaving pieces of yourself behind.

You cannot find all of God with only part of your soul.

As you reflect on the message this week, use some of these questions to consider how God might be working within and around you.

Questions for Reflection:

  • How is admitting you have a problem different from admitting you aren’t perfect?

  • Do you find yourself seeking transformation, or affirmation?

  • Do you tend to ignore your pain, manage it, or self-medicate?

  • What does well look like to you?

  • Do you want to get well?
